Our Story
In the early 2000s, Meagan, originally from New Zealand, moved to Kinsale with her family. Once settled and with her two daughters attending school, she found it challenging to source the wool she needed for her knitting projects. Realizing she was likely not the only knitter struggling to find quality, variety, and quantity of wool locally, Meagan decided to take action.
In 2012, Vivi Trading Co. opened its doors on Kinsale’s Main Street. Now, 15 years on, the business has grown to include an online store that reflects the same quality, variety, and unique spirit Meagan has cultivated over the years. Here, you’ll find most major brands, Ireland's home to Rowan Yarns, a wide range of weights and colours, along with patterns, accessories and handmade baby knits. In 2015 Meagan launched VTC Hand-dyed yarns from her own kitchen and they have grown to become a highly sought after favourite.
